Blue Moon is a 64-plus track Digital recording studio with comprehensive stereo mixing, editing and mastering facilities available. We are conveniently located in the heart of some of England's most beautiful countryside near Banbury, Oxfordshire, just an hour or so's drive along the M40 from London or Birmingham.

Our aim here over the past fifteen years has always been to provide a cost-effective, fast and professional sound recording service in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly studio environment, whilst at the same time offering you some of the finest modern recording technology available.

Apart from the installation of a brand-new new Digi 003Rack interface and a Command 8 control surface for Pro Tools LE v.8 running on an equally brand-new Mac Pro 8-processor computer, we are very proud to announce the inclusion of the superb AMS Neve 1073DPD dual pre-amplifier. Not only does this unit deliver the legendary Neve 1073 sound, but also it's digital outputs provide superior A/D conversion and rock-solid BNC Word Clock for Pro Tools. Of course, such high-quality signal paths demand exceptional hardware interfaces, and this goal has been assisted via the acquisition of a pair of Radial JDI units, considered by many to be the best passive D.I.boxes ever made, particularly good for bass guitar and keyboards due to their excellent phase coherency.

In addition, we can now offer guitarists and/or bassists the option of recording their tracks in conjunction with NI's fabulous Guitar Rig 4 Pro Kontrol amp system (that's if you want to use it, it's entirely up to you, of course, and you can always bring your own favourite amp setups if you prefer to use them instead, or, if you're feeling a little more adventurous, perhaps you might even like to try a combination of both in order to achieve some classic "re-amping" scenarios - the choice is yours).

The latest newcomer to the studio's already well-stocked microphone stable is a true thoroughbred, the outstanding AKG C414B-XLS multi-pattern condenser, a brilliant all-rounder for use on vocals, acoustic instruments, brass, piano, electric guitar, drums, washboard, didgeridoo, temporal anomalies...you name it, it'll capture ANY source material with one of the finest responses that you will ever hear!

For the discerning keyboard person, we have just installed NI's wonderful Steinway D acoustic piano samples on Kontakt Player. and, for lovers of vintage analogue tone control, we can now provide you with IK's brilliant emulation of the historic Pultec valve equalisers, alongside their latest T-Racks 3 Classic EQ modules.
